Villa Angiolina Sorrento

History

Distinctive and unique, Villa Angiolina has a history of importance that has played over the centuries for the community of Sorrento. The current structure is only part of the old farmhouse, surrounded by a vast garden of citrus trees, which in 1826 was the residence of the Cav. Rubinacci.

In 1956 Salvatore Apreda, it’s enterprising settler had the capacity that led him to become an entrepreneur. Allowing him to buy the whole house and the adjoining agricultural property, on which stood the construction company, the mill (which still allows our guests to witness the fruitful past) and the brick factory. Il Fondo Parsana, the name of the property then, became a hub of city life at that time: the scene participated by many included the village festivals, processions and gatherings worldly of the Sorrento peninsula. But the property is firstly and above all, the family residence of Apreda, which here gathered around the energetic figure of grandmother Angiolina, in whose honor the Relais today has passed on the name with pride.

Villa Angiolina, as it is offered to the public today, was born in 2009 by careful and passionate restoration by the generation of Angiolina Apreda’s grandchildren, brothers Salvatore, Pasquale and Liana, who with the enthusiasm of youth and a love for the historical traditions of these places, welcome their guests with a elegant and timeless familiarity.

Villa Angiolina is a modern host with respect for tradition...
